2017 Funding

The Astwood Bank Carnival open evening on November 21st saw not only an announcement that an amazing £7,000 had been handed out to groups both in Astwood Bank and the wider Redditch community, but Astwood Bank Carnival committee has been able to commit funding to two village community projects. Both projects come under the umbrella of the Carnival Committee, one is the highly successful Astwood Bank in Bloom, now in its third year. Additionally significant funding has been made available for a brand new initiative, the installation of communal Christmas lights along Evesham Road.

Carnival Chairman Ashley Hewitt noted: “Thanks to the amazing support by local residents, not just for the Carnival day back in July but also for all of the other events such as the recent Murder Mystery evening, and the Barn Dance in July, we’ve been able to support both local groups and others further afield that help us.”
