2019 Open Gardens

Advance, discounted tickets now available from Botany Bay

This year Astwood Bank In Bloom shall being holding an Open Gardens and Flower Festival event on the 8th and 9th June between 10am and 5pm.

This event is once again brought to primarily with the support of Botany Bay Nurseries as well as The Lounge, the Oddfellows, The Bell and Bank. We are as ever grateful or the support of local businesses allowing us to deliver these events.

Tickets – 1000-1700 Saturday, 1000-1500 Sunday

Tickets are available in advance at £5 per adult (children, under 16, are free) from Botany Bay Nurseries in Edgioake Lane

Tickets on the day are available at £6 per adult and are available from Botany Nay Nurseries and outside St Matthias & St George Church in Church Road.

Parking available at Ridgeway Academy and Astwood Bank Primary School.

Open Gardens and Flower Festival

A full detailed brochure will be given to each ticket holder detailing which gardens are open, their locations on a map, and a brief description of what you can expect to find in each garden.

The flower festival will be open throughout the weekend and will be held in St Matthias & St George Church in Church Road. Displays are being arranged by a number of local groups. Please do go and visit these.

Additionally, the following is also happening:

  • Botany Bay are also hosting a Children’s Treasure Hunt.
  • The miniature steam railway will be running at 1-2pm and 3-4pm each day.
  • Craft stalls at the Church, with refreshments on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon.
  • Farm animals to see at Walnut Tree Farm.
  • Nash’s Acre is open and there will be a variety of garden games and fun activities for all ages.
  • Plant sales and carnival raffle tickets for sale in some gardens.

Car parking

Car parks are open at Ridgeway Academy school (Evesham Road) and Astwood Bank First School (Church Road), please use these.

We kindly ask that anyone buying a ticket at Botany Bay Nurseries moves their car from the Botany Bay car park as soon as they have purchased their ticket or enjoyed the Children’s Treasure Hunt.

On-road parking will be available as usual around Astwood Bank, but please be considerate.

Refreshments

Some of our gardeners are offering refreshments in their gardens on the day. The details are available in the brochure. Refreshments will also be available through our supporters at The Bay café at Botany bay, The Lounge, Bank, The Bell, Dark Lane Club and Oddfellows.

The Dark Lane Club will be offering a free glass of Pimms to ticket holders.
